Happy Birthday Maj

My oldest nephew is celebrating his 13th birthday this month. He is already a teenager - oh my, how time flies! I made this simple light blue card for him and added a wooden ladybird for luck. I also prepared a gift for him and wrapped it in a fancy boyish wrapping paper.

Happy Birthday Val

My youngest nephew celebrated his 3rd birthday this month. I was far away (on the other side of the world), therefore I could not congratulate him in person or even via Skype. However, I prepared a parcel for him beforehand and left it with my mum, who did the postman role.
This is the card I enclosed to the gift.

Welcome Baby

Last week a friend of mine gave birth to their firstborn - a girl named Bella. I prepared a little gift for her and enclosed this congratulation card.
The design is very simple, I used glittering design paper and paper lace for the background and I decorated the card with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, a button and a baby pram embellishment which I bought in a local craft shop. The stitches around the border are simply made with a 3D-Liner.

I enter the card to the following challenges:

Milestone birthday

I made this card for my dad, who celebrated a milestone birthday. I used various embellishments, like flowers and skeleton leaves from Wild Orchid Crafts. I also added the numbers 6 and 0 which I cut with my new dies from Tina's shop, as well as the text "all the best wishes" (they are very versatile and I made more similar cards like this one, which I will show you in the future posts).

Hearts

Every heart sings a song, incomplete,
until another heart whispers back.
Those who wish to sing always find a song.
At the touch of a lover, everyone becomes a poet.
Plato

New home

A family bought and moved to a new house, and a very good friend of mine and her boyfriend moved to their very own flat.

To congratulate the family, I made this simple card with a house. Every individual part of the house is designed and cut by hand. I especially like the lace (curtain) on the window.

To congratulate my friends I made a card and prepared a gift. The card is in the shape of the entrance door of their flat, and the heart represents love. I also wrote their surnames on the door mail slot.

To wrap my gift (hot chocolate and two lovely mugs) I used a shoe box wrapped in wrapping paper. On the inner side of the cover I glued a print of the house (downloaded from melonheadz illustrating), with positive words - love, family, trust, hope, respect, kindness, forever, faith.

I enter the card(s) to the following challenges:

Little calendar as a gift

At the end of 2013 I made little calendars, which I gave as gifts to my friends and family, but not all of them were published on the blog.
I take this opportunity and include all of them here.

I already published the tutorial here.

And a tip.. when the year came to its end, I just bought a new calendar cube and glued it on.

And two calendars with a hanger.
