Vrtnarka / Gardening girl

To voščilnico je pa mama podarila moji sestri, ki vedno kaj brklja na vrtu. Ker imajo pri hiši tudi malo tigrasto muco, je bila digi štampiljka Dearie Dolls pravšnja izbira. Kot vedno sem tudi tokrat motiv pobarvala s Promarkerji, poleg dizajnerskega papirja pa dodala še nekaj dodatkov.

My mum gave this card to my sister, who spends a lot of time in the garden. Since they also own a little tabby cat, I though the digi stamp from Dearie Dolls would be perfect. As always, I coloured the image with Promarkers and besides the patterned paper, I also added some embellishments.

Zahvalnica / Thank you card

Življenje včasih prinaša vzpone in padce - ko nam gre dobro se tisti, ki nas imajo radi veselijo z nami; ko pa pridejo temačni dnevi nam ti isti dobri ljudje podajo roko in nas vodijo iz teme. Ni iz trte izvit pregovor: "V nesreči spoznaš prijatelja." Ta zahvalnica je nastala za posebno osebo, ki mi je nudila pomoč, ko sem le-to potrebovala.

Poigrala sem se z Distress blazinicami in pričarala modrozeleno ozadje. Za piko na i pa sem dodala tri cvetove v kot. Prav tako sem okrasila notranjost, ki predstavlja zahvalo.

Life brings ups and downs - when we are doing well our loved ones rejoice with us; and when darker days come, they give us their hand and lead us out of the darkness. The proverb "A friend in need is a friend indeed" is not trumped-up in these cases. This thank you card was made for a special person, who helped me in time of need.

I played with distress ink pads and made a blue-green background. To make the card more coloured, I added the flowers in the corner. I also embellished the inside of the card, which expresses thanks.

Moška srajca / Men's shirt

Pri ustvarjanju moških voščilnic imam pogosto težave, saj ne vem kako najbolje skombinirati vseh delov, da bi izpadlo čim bolj nevtralno (brez rož, metuljčkov in bleščič). Drugače je za tematske voščilnice, te so po navadi lažje. Pri prebiranju blogov ostalih utvarjalk sem opazila, da nisem edina, ki se spopada s tem 'problemom' ali bolje rečeno izzivom :)
Idejo za spodnji voščilnici sem našla na Pinterestu. Na ovratnik sem želela nalepiti prave gumbke, a so bili vsi gumbki v moji ustvarjalni in mamini šivalni shrambi žal preveliki. Izdelava voščilnice je zelo enostavna, zatorej sem naredila kar dve, na zalogo.

While making male cards I often encounter problems, as I struggle how to combine all the parts in order for the card to appear neutral (without, flowers, butterflies, and tinsels). It is different for thematic cards, these are usually more simple to make. While reading blog post of fellows crafters, I noticed I am not the only one dealing with this 'problem' or better to say, challenge :)

I found the idea for the following card on Pinterest. I wanted to glue real buttons on the collar, but all the buttons in my crafting and my mum's stitching store were too big. The process of card making is very simple, therefore I made two, to keep in stock.

Modra sova / Wise owl

Ta sovica je nastala na hitro, saj se mi je zelo mudilo. Motiv sem našla na spletu in ga pobarvala s Promarkerji. Dodala sem še nekaj okraskov, a ne preveč, saj so prejemici všeč preproste stvari, po načelu "manj je več".

Košarica cvetja / Flower Basket

Ta voščilnica je še "iz zaloge". Na suho embosiran papir sem dodala motiv košarice s cvetjem iz seta štampiljk Helz Cuppleditch "Flower Girl", ki sem ga (kot vedno) pobarvala s Promarkerji, ter trak - v meni ljubih rožnatih odtenkih.

This card was made a long time ago, but I never managed to post it. On the dry embossed paper I added a motif of basked with flowers from the Helz Cuppleditch "Flower Girl" set of stamps, which (as usually) I coloured with Promerkers. I embellished the card with a ribbon as well - in my favourite pink colour.

Za mojo sestro / For my sister

Konec meseca praznuje tudi moja sestra. Zanjo je nastala naslednja voščilnica. Ker močno dovomim, da poleg moje FB strani spremlja tudi moj blog, jo objavljam že pred oddajo. Nastala je po istem kopitu kot prejšnja drsečka, v meni ljubih rožnatih tonih. Motiv sem našla na blogu Sylvie Zet in ga pobarvala s Promarkerji. Majhne ploskve bi prišle lepše do izraza, če bi imela nastavke za tanjšo konico.

It is my sister's birthday at the end of the month. I made the following birthday card for her. Since I really doubt that besides my FB page she also follows my blog, I show you the card before I give it to her. I made the card in a similar way as my previous sliding card. I have found the motif on Sylvia Zet's blog and coloured it with Promarkers. The small surfaces would appear nicer if I would have used the fine nibs.

Tudi tokrat sem poizkusila zame nekaj čisto novega. Tinin in Vladkin izziv me je spodbudil, da se lotim drseče voščilnice. Idejo in navodila za izdelavo sem našla tukaj, motiv dobre vile, ki sem jo pobarvala s Promarkerji, pa na blogu Melonheadz. Moram priznati, da sem na začetku imela kar nekaj težav, vendar se je trud izplačal.

Also this time I tried something totally new for me. Tina and Vladka's challenge encouraged me to make a slider card. I found the idea and guidelines here, while I downloaded the fairy image from Melonheadz blog and coloured it with Promarkers. I have to say that I had some issues at the beginning, but all the hard work paid off.

Mehurčki / Bubbles (1)

Za izdelavo mehurčkastih voščilnic me je spodbudil izziv v Craft-alnici.  Na začetku se mi je to zdel precej trd oreh in razmišljala sem, kako naj upodobim mehurčke. Pa sem se le opogumila in končno poizkusila nekaj novega, kar je bilo sicer že nekaj časa na moji "to-do" listi. To je ustvarjanje kreativnega ozadja s pomočjo Distress blazinic. In čeprav sem bila na začetku precej izven moje cone udobja, sem v packanju, opazovanju prelivanja barv in igranju s toplotnim embosiranjem tako uživala, da so v enem večeru nastale kar tri mehurčkaste voščilnice. Vse so narejene na podoben princip a kljub temu zelo drugačne. Prvo predstavljam spodaj.

Craft-alnica's challenge encouraged me to make "bubbles" themed cards. At first I have found this challenge a hard nut to crack, but then I was thinking more and more how to represent bubbles. I took courage and tried something new, which was on my to-do list for a while - making a creative background using Distress ink pads. In spite of being out of my comfort zone at first, I really enjoyed in smearing, observing iridescence and playing with heat embossing; so much that I made three cards in one evening. I present the first one below.

Škatlice presenečenja / Little surprise boxes

Ko utegnem vedno rada izdelam majhne drobnarije, ki jih podarim prijateljem in znancem. Tokrat sem izdelala majhne škatlice, ki sem jih napolnila s čokoladnimi jajčki, zajčki in piščančki. Za dekoracijo pa sem v notranjost dodala tudi malo slame.

Velikonočna košarica / Easter basket

Ta košarica je pravšnja za sladka velikonočna jajčka. Idejo sem si izposodila tukaj, le dimenzije sem uporabila večje, da lahko moja košarica sprejme več čokoladnih jajčk.

Nogometaš / Footballer

To voščilnico pa sem naredila za mojega nečaka, ki uživa v igranju nogometa. Motiv nogometaša sem našla na spletu in ga pobarvala s Promarkerji. V ozadje pa sem dodala razne dodatke, da naredijo celotni motiv bolj razigran. Sicer je vidljivost zelo slaba, ampak tokrat sem v ozadju poizkusila tudi Vladkino tehniko s čopičem in belo tempero - a ker sem imela pri roki zgolj akrilno belo barvo (in več kot očitno je bila ta nepokrivna), celoten efekt ni prišel najbolje do izraza.

I have made this card for my nephew, who enjoys playing football. I have found the footballer motif on the internet and coloured with Promarkers. I have added various additions and embellishments in the background, to make the card more vivacious. The visibility is a bit poor, but this time I wanted to try Vladka's technique in the background, with the brush and white tempera. However, I only had white acrilic colour at home (a transparent one) so the overall effect isn't visible very well.

Mavrična torta / Rainbow cake

Tale pa je še zadnja v seriji mavričnih voščilnic. Digi štampiljko sem našla na spletu in jo pobarvala s Promarkerji. Moram priznati, da sem v slaščičarnah že večkrat videla mavrično torto, vendar je še nikoli nisem poizkusila. Morda zgolj zaradi predsodka, da so vse te barve umetne, morda pa le zato, ker je moj pogled zaneslo k slastni čokoladi ali sladkim jagodam. Kdo ve.

This is the last card in the rainbow cards series. I have found the digi stamp online and coloured it with Promarkers. I have to admit, that I have often seen the rainbow cake in the cake shops, but never gave it a try. Maybe because of the prejudice that all those colours are artificial, or maybe just because I was enchanted by delicious chocolate or sweet strawberries nearby. Who knows.

Samorog / Unicorn

Slednja voščilnica je pravljična. Mali samorog skače čez mavrico in nam pravi, naj nikoli ne nehamo sanjati. Motiv samoroga sem našla na spletu in ga pobarvala s Promarkerji, ter mu na grivo in repek dodala še malce bleščic. Za mavrico sem uporabila Tinino šablono, ker pa nimam šablon za prave oblake, sem le-te imitirala s pomočjo ovalnih šablon.

The following card is fairy. The little unicorn is jumping over the rainbow, telling us never stop to dream. I have found the unicorn motif on the internet, and coloured it with Promarkers. I also added some glitter on unicorn's mane and tail. For the rainbow I used Tina's stencil, but since I do not have the cloud stencils, I imitated those with the use of scalloped oval stencils.

Poletne lučke / Summer popsicles

Vem, da je še zima in da tudi po pomladi še nič kaj ne diši, ampak moja naslednja voščilnica je prav poletna. Morda pa bo pomagala pregnati te mrzle dni in sive oblake pri nas.
Digi štampiljko sladolednih lučk sem našla na blogu Melonheadz Illustrating. Lučke sem pobarvala s Promarkerji, za ozadje pa sem izbrala papir s potiskom besede "summer".

Ko pa smo že pri sladkem, vam pokažem še moje prve cake popse ali tortice na palčki, kot jim tudi pravijo. Moram priznati, da so mi na začetku delali kar nekaj težav, saj so kroglice padale s palčk oz. drsele po palčki navzdol. No, kljub temu, je natalo nekaj primerkov, primernih za slikanje. Delala pa sem po slednjem receptu s spleta.

I know it is still winter and that the spring does not seem to be near, but my next card is very summery. Maybe it will help to chase away the cold days and grey clouds around here.
I have found the digi stamp of the popsicles on the Melonheadz Illustrating blog. I coloured the image with Promarkers and for the background I used the design paper with the inscription "summer" all over it.

Since we talk about sweets, I will also show you the first cake pops I made. I have to admit I had quite some troubles at first, since the cake balls were falling off or sliding down the stick. Despite that, I managed to make a few specimens, suitable to appear on the photo. I followed this recipe for the cake pops.

Fantek je / It's a boy

Spodnji čestitki sem poslala dobrima prijateljicama ob rojstvu sinčkov. Obe sta narejeni na podoben način, na modri karirasti podlagi. 

Pri prvi sem kot osrednji motiv izbrala papirnato čipko, na katero sem nalepila plastičen motiv otroškega vozička. V zgornji kot sem dodala še nekaj perlic, spodaj pa sem poleg modre pentlje dodala napis, ki sem ga natisnila s pomočjo računalnika.

Pri drugi sem  na sredino položila papirnati izrezek otroškega vozička, ki sem ga rahlo okrasila s bleščicami, kar na fotografiji ni najbolj vidno. Napis na vrhu sem toplotno embosirala, kot dodatek pa zalepila še plastičen motiv slinčka in modro pentljico.

The following cards were sent to my very good friends when their sons were born. The cards are both designed in a similar way, based on the blue squared paper.

In the first card I put a paper lace in the middle, where I added a baby pushchair embellishment. I put a few rhinestones in the upper corner and a blue bow with a print 'congratulations' at the bottom.

For the second one, I used a paper pushchair cut and embellished it with glitter, although that is not visible well from the picture. I heat embossed the inscription on the top and embellished the card further with a bib motif and a blue bow.

Prvi bonbonček prejme Marjeta, drugega pa Valerija Ivajnšič.
